Christopher and the Pinewood Derby

Last Friday was the start Cub Scout pinewood derby. Christopher's car did consistantly well, but he didn't place in the top three. He did, however, earn 2 1st place ribbons and about a half dozen 2nd place ribbons. And that showing was good enough to get him into the finals which were held last night.

Last night his car continued to run well. A friend of his from his patrol had a very fast car and ended up being first place overall. Christopher's car placed 4th overall in the entire pack. I thought that was pretty good.

Christopher's car was modelled after the black Mustang police car from the Transformer's movie. I helped him cut the shape and Christopher did all the sanding, painting and decorating. We couldn't find police decals, so his decorations are more flashing than a normal police car.
