Christopher Returns From Campout

Christopher went on a wilderness survival and hiking campout this weekend in Oklahoma. The boys hiked about 5 miles to their campsite. Christopher's patrol made their own shelter rather than using a tent. They also ate dehydrated hiking food and had to pack in all their supplies. We got Christopher a new frame pack and it sounds like it got good use. It's fun to see him enjoying his scouting experience. He's making new friends all the time and seems quite up to the challenges the activities present. Some of the highlights Christopher pointed out was eating lunch on a cliff and leaving the trail to hike up a mountian on the way back from camp.
