A Successful School Year Has Ended

Today was Nicole and Christopher's last day of school.

Christopher completed 6th grade with straight A's and received a special Academic Excellence certificate from his teacher, along with his 6th grade diploma and 'A' Honor Roll certificate.  Tuesday night was his graduation ceremony at the school where they presented the certificates and had cake and punch.  Yesterday they spent the day at the Hawaiian Falls water park and today they had their "Final Walk" together with his class up to the school, a tradition. The day ended with a class party, so it was a pretty fun week for him.

Nicole had finals in her 9th grade classes the last couple of weeks.  Some of them she didn't have to take because of her previous performance.  The others have scores like 98% (Physics), 100% (Spanish) and other good grades.  We don't have her report card yet, but I'm pretty sure she'll be getting straight A's.  She also found out that she made the Symphonic II band for next year. That's the 2nd highest band out of the 5 in the school, a great honor for a sophomore. At the end of school today Nicole went straight into Band Camp.  She'll be in camp all day tomorrow and Saturday with a performance and spaghetti supper Saturday night. There are always lots of activities.

I'm proud of both of you kids.  Thanks for all your hard work and congratulations on all your success.
